TED WRIGHT AND ASSOCIATES, INC., is located in Overland Park, Kansas, just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. The territory we provide coverage for is Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Southern Illinois. This area is commonly referred to as "The MINK States". I have been been involved in this business as a principle and sales representative for over thirty years. TED WRIGHT AND ASSOCIATES, INC., was started in 1982. Our current computer base has close to 5,000 active customers. Our sales associates live in their respective territories insuring total coverage. That's important today considering the ever rising cost of gasoline and being on the road.
So what makes TED WRIGHT AND ASSOCIATES, INC., different than other sales agencies? What do we do differently? Why take a chance on making a change, or pick us as your sales agency? It is my belief the customer, the manufacturer, and the sales associates should be given as much attention to detail as possible to insure success.
- T.W.A.'s sales associates are given information about the customers and territory from our computer before they make any sales calls.
- T.W.A. sales associates engage the customer, finding out about their store, and how we can partner up with them for long term relationships. We want to set a foundation for a long term relationship with each customer.
- T.W.A. gives the customer information about what our lines will mean to them in terms of dollars per square foot. Most buyers have never heard dollars per square foot.
- T.W.A. grows a customer's (and manufacturer's) business each time we visit an account by utilizing inventory control systems. Most rep groups do not understand the concept of "growing a business". Most groups "fly by the seat of thier pants", having to start from scratch each time they go back to a customer. We also believe in taking up floor space by selling displays and assortment programs, rather than being nickeled and dimed. Time is money, and it takes less time to sell a floor display than it does to write a hundred dollar order.
- T.W.A. thinks "outside the box". We realize times have changed do to a multitude and myriad number of reasons. Thinking outside the box is a must today if success is to be had by us or you. Not only do we call on the most logical customers where your line will go, but we try to match up your line with customers that might not have been considered previously.
- We make customer mailings to keep them informed and updated about the lines we represent.
- Our line package will work with yours or we will not consider it. Our standard is simple but is worthy. The prerequisite is: ALL LINES MUST BE QUALITY ORIENTED AND UNIQUE IN STYLE. It is simple to find a line with quality, but really not very unique. It is simple to find a line that is unique but lacking in quality. It is not so simple to find the two together. We are not looking for "me too" lines.
- Our office is completely computerized and open daily to offer the customer the best service possible.
- We show at the Kansas City Gift Mart which means your line can be shown to a number of customers, which means new customers and orders for you and us.
The points listed above are some of the things that makes our agency different than most. We can do all of the above items, but if we don't have customer rapport, really we have nothing. We have great customer rapport with our customers and excellent sales associates.
